Charlotte McLaughlin Whitlow, 88, of Amarillo died on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Charlotte McLaughlin was born May 5, 1928 in DeWitt, TX. She graduated from Abilene Christian University, where she met her handsome husband Harry Whitlow.
Charlotte was a wife, mother and schoolteacher. She was an active member of Southwest Church of Christ for many years, serving as an Elder's wife and Bible School teacher, as well as working with missions both in the U.S. and abroad, with ministries such as World Bible School and missions in Russia. Charlotte McLaughlin Whitlow, 88, of Amarillo died on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Charlotte McLaughlin was born May 5, 1928 in DeWitt, TX. She graduated from Abilene Christian University, where she met her handsome husband Harry Whitlow.
Charlotte was a wife, mother and schoolteacher. She was an active member of Southwest Church of Christ for many years, serving as an Elder's wife and Bible School teacher, as well as working with missions both in the U.S. and abroad, with ministries such as World Bible School and missions in Russia. Charlotte was an amazing storyteller and a strong advocate for all of her children and grandchildren's education; always continuing to learn herself.
Charlotte will leave behind a rich legacy of many friends and loved ones who have been deeply encouraged and impacted by her life, teaching and service on this earth.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; her youngest daughter, Cheryl Hoelscher and her sister Wanda Seacat.

Survivors include her children, Charles Whitlow and wife Cathy, Dow and Cindy Whitlow, Randy and Charise Nesbitt and Steve and CJ Hoelscher; 15 grandchildren, 30 plus great-grandchildren; along with two sisters, Wynetta Carter and Estelle Johnston and sister and brother-in-law Lindsey and Thelma Gibbons.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Sunset International Bible Institute, 3723 34th St., Lubbock, TX 79410.
